About HHM

Heart ‘n Hands Mission is an outreach ministry of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Our mission is to collect and provide clothing and other necessities to the homeless and working poor of northeastern New Jersey and to raise awareness of their plight in this area and beyond.

We are mobile, and with our traveling van, we reach many of our area’s homeless through soup kitchens and food pantries. Through these resources we are able to provide many of the items they need to maintain good health and hygiene. Heart ‘n Hands Mission volunteers serve over 3,000 people in need in Paterson, Passaic, Hoboken and Newark every month throughout the year.

Heart ‘n Hands Mission depends on donations to provide the items that are free to those in needed. You can help by making a contribution, volunteering your time, or donating new and gently used clothing and other necessities. Sorting and labeling your donation by gender, size, and season is greatly appreciated!

Our most requested items are men’s khakis and jeans, everyday shoes and sneakers for all ages, adult crew socks, diapers, and NEW travel size personal care items such as shampoo, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, hand sanitizer and medicated powder.
